The sun begins to shine and warm up our bones after winter. I see the smiles and the hope beginning to reappear. Many of us respond much better to growth than inhibition!
As spring calls in the blooming of flowers on the ground, the breath of a warmer air and sunsets of pink, purple and orange – we are reminded of the beauty of the world. We are called in on some deeper level to interact and appreciate the world and its wonders. We realise that nature has an intelligence, we remind ourselves to trust in the nature of life.
Remember all it takes for a flower to bloom.. the combination of earth, an established plant base, water, sunlight and safety. All those things have occurred in order for that flower to bloom. All things must come together, all things must synchronise in order for that flower to be. I find it quite comforting to know that it isn’t just the effort of the flower which allows the flower to bloom. That its growth is supported by nature.
When you watch the world through these eyes, you start to see the synchronicity in all things. We aren’t just living our lives, but everyone else is living theirs – somehow we come together, produce lovely moments, form connections, even love. All things come together so that we can bloom when the moment is right. We can choose to support and nourish this synchronicity. As we do we can let go and allow the unfolding of the next step – if you’ve ever been with this knowledge, even for a moment, you know the peace and warmth that arises from such a space.
When we narrow our perception and believe that growth and life is the effort only of the flower, of ourselves, we resist the nature and nurture around us. We don’t see the synchronicity of all things, we feel lonely, seperate and it’s a whole lot of effort to carry the responsibility of all growth on our own shoulders. This way of thinking also causes us to want to control those people around us. In our minds, it is their responsibility to make the sun shine, or it is their fault that we don’t have the nourishment we so rightly deserve. We forget that they are their own flower. We forget that we are nourished by life and nature itself – not others.
Use this beautiful spring weather to reconnect to nature, to feel its warm embrace and watch the magic of life that occurs in the smallest of places.
Allow life to hold you, support you, help you to grow.
In Sanskrit, the word used to describe a community, in the deepest sense of the word, is Sangha.
May we see the nature of all things, the synchronicity of life and the Sangha that resides in the space between us, if we choose to see it as so.
Warmth and joy,
Emma
